Enter your License Key

The first login to the app requires entering a license key. If you don’t have one yet, you can purchase it right here:

Setup Wizard

After entering the license key, the default dashboard is displayed which shows the total throughput of all configured bridges:

Because you did not define any bridges yet, activate the Setup Wizard from the toolbar:

It will guide you through the configuration. You can activate the wizard for reconfiguration anytime later from the toolbar.

The Setup Wizard displays two bridge options while both are disabled initially:

Click Enable this feature to configure it.

Create a RabbitMQ to Kafka Bridge

A bridge is created between a RabbitMQ source and a Kafka target broker. They can be local or cloud-based brokers. This example bridges queue tokafka on the default exchange of a RabbitMQ broker running on CloudAMQP to topic topic1 of a Kafka broker running on Confluent Cloud.

  • You first define a unique bridge name that is used in dashboards.

  • Then enter the broker URI, exchange name, type etc to define the source for the bridge.

  • Since we use the a Confluent Cloud broker, you can copy the properties from their web site to configure the Kafka Producer or fine-tune it according to your needs.

  • Specify the target topic name. Only a single topic is allowed here.

  • We specify a key that is set for every produced message.

That’s it.

You can create more bridges by clicking the + button:

Create a Kafka to RabbitMQ Bridge

This creates a bridge between one or more Kafka topics and a RabbitMQ exchange. In this example, we bridge from the Confluent Cloud Kafka broker to the CloudAMQP RabbitMQ broker:

  • Specify the broker properties and source topic name. If you want to bridge from multiple topics, separate them by a comma.

  • Specify the RabbitMQ broker URI, target exchange name, type, and routing key.

You can create more bridges by clicking the + button:

Remove a Topic Bridge

Click on

to remove a topic bridge.
